Acer   –   Another photo of the japanese maple tree in my garden. This was taken a few days ago before the wind blew most of the leaves off.

Lady’s Mantle / Alchemilla vulgaris   –   It is another wet morning of the kind which we have had a few of lately, but I couldn’t resist the jewel encrusted leaves and budding flowers of the lady’s mantle. My garden is full of this stuff, to that extend that I am trying my hardest to reign it in, as it suffocates everything else. Still, it is a consolation to find it trying to appease me by showing one of its pretty sides, especially in the weather we have been having since the meteorological summer begun. It modelled perfectly for a quickly snatched image so I can get back to the drawing that I have in progress – to be revealed early next month on my other two blogs.
