A little ice overhang that had developed on the boot of our car after sliding down the back hatch is melting in the sun. I only got a couple of photos before it fell off, so this is all you get, messed up depth of field and all 😉

Quiet Prayer   Leave a comment

I have been otherwise occupied which is why there has been such a break since the last sunsrays post. The situation is not resolved so posts will continue to be rather sporadic. For today I found this, it is from a spring visit to Pluscarden Abbey just outside Elgin (Scotland) and shows a plaque in the grounds.

Quiet Prayer

Quiet Prayer

I have never put my hope in any other but in You,

God of Israel

who can show both anger and graciousness,

and who absolves all sins of suffering man

Lord God,

Creator of Heaven and of Earth

be mindful of our lowliness

Cairn Uish Windfarm near Rothes  (I think ;-)) with the low evening sun on it     –   I can never figure out why wind turbines are so contentious. I would rather have them than coal fired or nuclear power stations spewing out all sorts of (not so) nice things any day. Not to speak of the irreversible damage those do.
