Fleeting Moments   Leave a comment

A little ice overhang that had developed on the boot of our car after sliding down the back hatch is melting in the sun. I only got a couple of photos before it fell off, so this is all you get, messed up depth of field and all ūüėČ

Storm Gertrude   Leave a comment

I was going to publish a drawing commission over on today, one that I completed just recently, but I changed my mind when the morning twilight and the dark skies of storm Gertrude presented us with a special treat. They were seen at numerous locations in the north of Scotland today and I later found out that this is a nacreous, or mother-of-pearl cloud, formed high up in the stratosphere which normally has no clouds because it is too cold.

Primula vulgaris¬†¬† –¬†¬† Nearly into February now, so we should see these primroses soon. I for one will be glad to see the back of the cold, wet and dreary winter days, even if I didn’t get to build my snowman this year ūüôā
