This little fellow is taking advantage of seeds scattered by birds, in May this year. I know spring is a distant memory, but I never tire of our bushy tailed friends  🙂

Even he is miserable in this dreary weather we are experiencing this summer…
I was lucky to snap him as he does not like the presence of us humans, even behind kitchen windows! He is away as soon as he sees any movement, every time. Not like the rest of the crow family at all. Many of us could take a leaf out of his book, though, he never gives up, and always, always, comes back!

Dwarf Cherry Stella   –   Sorry I haven’t posted here in a while, I have been busy with art and craft work on my other blogs and also with the garden. Well, the Scottish spring weather is keeping us on our toes. Only a few days ago we were basking in sunshine and summer temperatures, yet this morning we woke up to a covering of snow and hail. This image of cherry blossom was taken just before the hail storms hit, maybe it will tie us over until the weather improves?

Acer   –   This is not the world’s best photograph, in fact it isn’t even mediocre, but I don’t care. This is not about the photograph but about the model. Time and opportunity are scarce in our household at present, but this is a sight which I look forward to every autumn. That is saying something, considering I rather dislike the autumn and winter season …

Many a year we are deprived of this magnificent show, when autumn storms blow the leaves off this Japanese Maple before it has a chance to put on its fiery Halloween costume. Therefore, when, as I returned after one of my many dutiful early morning trips out, this greeted me, I had to make time to find the camera and catch it before it was gone…

I just wish I was able to portray it the same way that I see it, feel it. I will learn, and then, one day….
