Another one from my walk on the beach in Burghead, with the evening sun lighting up the dunes.

Dianthus / Pinks – It has been a long time since my last post, because things have been so manic in the garden. The season is nearing its end, so I should be able to post a little more regular again for a while. This is one of my pinks, on a sunny morning after a night of lots of rain.

Lady of Shalott   –   This lightly fragrant English shrub rose has decided to make use of the sudden warm weather and exploded into bloom.

It briefly said hello this morning and I just caught it before it disappeared behind a grey shroud, for the rest of the day, presumably, so not a particularly artistic shot. It may not always be colourful, but it is always spectacular and humbling, and I am grateful for each single time I am allowed to see it.  I hope your start into 2015 was merry and your outlook good for the next three hundred plus days and beyond. If you can find some spare minutes here and there in your busy schedules I would appreciate your company on my journey through this new year.

The Rain Has Gone   Leave a comment

Dahlia   –   One of my unnamed varieties that came as part of a mixed pack. After heavy rain early on the weather had started to clear and the sun was hitting the still wet blooms, making them the ideal target for the camera on my morning ‘inspection’. Unfortunately those days are a distant memory now, all of my dahlias have been put to bed in the shed for the winter.

Oh, and prints of some of my pictures can be bought here:

Rose –  One of the roses in my garden, after undergoing some mutations for the purpose of publication, of course. Dedicated to my sister who is celebrating her birthday today. Happy Birthday, lil sis!
