Destruction - Gorse Wildfire in Hopeman. 2018.06.07 Gorse Fire Hopeman 5799

Gorse Wildfire in Hopeman. So the lovely gorse that I featured in an image recently, and that I was hoping to walk through again to enjoy the wonderful scent before it goes over, now is no more. It will take years to recover, and it appears it was started deliberately, too ūüė¶

On the Lookout   2 comments

We came across these, purely by accident while on a trip through the Scottish Highlands. While we were admiring and photographing the view over the landscape on one side of the road we hadn’t realised we were being watched from the other….
Not the thing to do, being careless around these beasts, I don’t think the fence that separated them from the road would have held the stag back if he had taken offence at our presence. Alas, we parted on good terms.

Freesia I   Leave a comment

Freesia – There is not much to say about this one, really, except I love freesias, and when the light caught this one I had to pick up the camera…playing with such narrow depth of field still needs work, but hey, there wasn’t much time to loose before the light would disappear so for a quick decision result this isn’t too bad I think. I hope.
